Ready, Set, Go and Tell!

Jesus gave His followers one final command before leaving Earth: Go and tell everyone about me! It’s because of their obedience we worship Him today. God has asked us to keep the momentum going, sharing the news of Jesus with the world.

_______

Ready, Set, Go! Lessons Overview:

Memory Verse:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” Matthew 28:19 (NIV)

Lessons:

Everyone On the Line!

Scripture: Matthew 28:16-20, The Great Commission

Running track isn’t for everyone. But telling people about Jesus? That’s a calling for every believer. Jesus wants us to know He expects all of us to go and tell others about Jesus.

Objective: Kids will learn, “Jesus has asked me to tell people about Him.”

Get Ready

Scripture: Acts 1:1-14, Jesus Taken Up Into Heaven

After Jesus went back to heaven, the believers waited and prayed. They knew the day would come when God called them to act, and they were making sure they were ready. God wants us ready at all times. By developing a daily habit of prayer, we can be ready to serve God anytime, anywhere.

Objective: Kids will learn, “daily prayer can help me be ready to serve at all times.”

Get Set

Scripture: 1 Peter 3:13-16

Besides prayer, reading the Bible daily, and being a part of a Bible study with other believers can help us “get set” to share the good news.  Peter tells us that we should “always be prepared to give an answer…”  Now that doesn’t mean we have to know every possible question that someone may ask, it just means we need to not be afraid to tell anyone why we put our faith in Jesus.  Regularly reading the Scripture, helps constantly remind us of who God is, and why we can trust Him.

Objective: Kids will learn, “daily Bible reading can help strengthen my faith in God.”

Go!

Scripture: Acts 8:26-40, Philip and the Ethiopian

It is because men like Philip went when God said go that we have a church today. He followed the Spirit’s lead and told the man he met about Jesus. That’s how the Word began to spread. Let’s keep the momentum going. Let’s go and share with everyone the love of Jesus.

Objective: Kids will learn, “I have a part to play in God’s mission to tell others about Jesus.”

_______

Each Lesson Includes:

  • Make It Stick! Parent Sheet - so you can let mom and dad know what kids are learning each week and look like a rockstar teacher who's thought of everything.
  • Memory Verse - so that you can make sure kids are getting Scripture in their minds and hearts every single week and you can feel like each lesson was a success even when it seems like 90% of your lesson time is spent saying things like "calm down", "let's be quiet", "hands to yourself!"
  • Skit or Puppet Show - so you have a way to easily connect the lesson with your hands-on and visual learners. No drama team? No problem! Just hand the script to the kids. They'll have a blast and think you're the coolest.
  • Craft Activity - so you can give kids a physical reminder of the Bible lesson (and give yourself an activity to keep them busy until mom and dad come back!)
  • Game - so kids don't leave and say church was BORING! Games are so important to help keep kids engaged. Our large group games always include a "What's The Point" section to help you connect the game to the lesson.
  • Large Group Lesson - so you can present the Bible story in a clear and fun way, which means now you can enjoy Saturday nights instead of stressing over putting a lesson together!
  • Small-Group Discussion - so you can find out who was paying attention and who was talking to their neighbor.  Just kidding, this is a great way for you to build deeper relationships with your kiddos after each lesson, which means you're going to care about them so much you'll cry like a baby when they graduate and go to middle school :(
  • More! - Yes, there is even more than all of that so that you can easily put together the perfect lesson for your ministry each weekend, which means no more agonizing over how to adjust complicated lesson plans.
