In board games, the player takes bad turns sometimes. But the next roll of the dice or spin of the wheel might have you in a good position again. As long as the game is going, there are always second chances. It is the same with God. Our sins and bad decisions are not the end of the story. God offers us second chances, do-overs, and a chance to roll again.
“The free gift of God’s grace makes us right with him. Christ Jesus paid the price to set us free.” Romans 3:24 (NIRV)
Bad Hand (King Saul)
Scripture: 1 Samuel 19:1-12, Saul Tries to Kill David
Saul was the king of all Israel, but although he had it all, he burned with jealousy for David. David's victories in battle made him popular and successful. Saul ignored all of the blessings that God had given him, and instead tried to kill David.
Objective: Kids will learn we get in trouble when we focus on what we don’t have instead of the good things God has done for us.
