Bubbles Show Us Jesus' Love
Kids love bubbles. They are endlessly fascinating to look at, to blow, and to pop. In this series, preschoolers will play with bubbles, and through their play learn some important lessons about the love of Jesus.
Bubbles 4-Week Preschool Ministry Curriculum Overview:
Memory Verse: “So we know that God loves us. We depend on it. God is love.” 1 John 4:16a (NIrV)
Lessons:
Clear Bubbles
Scripture: Luke 19:1-10, Zacchaeus
As bubbles are created, kids will be encouraged to look right through them to what's on the other side. Zacchaeus wanted to see Jesus, so he climbed a tree. When Jesus spoke to Zacchaeus, he realized that Jesus could see him, and knew him completely. It's clear: no matter what we face, God sees us.
Objective: Kids will learn that Jesus sees us.
Bubbles in The Air
Scripture: Luke 5:17-26, Jesus Heals A Paralyzed Man
Kids will have a contest to see how high into the air they can get their bubbles to float. When the paralyzed man wanted to get into the crowded house to see Jesus, his friends lowered him down from the roof. Just like bubbles move up and down through the air, Jesus' loves us no matter where we are or how we feel. Whether we feel up or down, good or bad, God always loves us.
Objective: Kids will learn that Jesus loves us.
Blowing Bubbles
Scripture: Luke 9:10-17, Jesus Feeds Five Thousand
Kids will blow on the wand and see if they can create more and more bubbles. When the large crowd was hungry, Jesus multiplied the food in order to feed them. Jesus cares about our needs.
Objective: Kids will learn that Jesus cares about our needs.
Soapy Bubbles
Scripture: Luke 22:14-22, The Last Supper
Kids will look at the bubbles in ordinary hand soap and see how they help us to get clean. Jesus died for us, so that we could be forgiven of the bad things we've done. If we trust Jesus, he can make us squeaky clean inside and out.
Objective: Kids will learn that Jesus makes us clean.
