God is with me!
Kids will learn about the early life of David, from his anointing by the prophet Samuel to his service in King Saul's court to his battle with the giant that made him famous in Israel. God was with David every step of the way, and God is with us too. In David and the Giant 4-Week Preschool Ministry Curriculum, preschoolers will learn that God is with us no matter what.

The Secret King
Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:1-13, Samuel Anoints David
God did not want Saul to be king anymore. He sent Samuel to anoint David. In that moment, David probably didn’t know the big things God had planned for his life, but he knew he could trust God. You can trust God too, because he loves you and wants the best for you.
Objective: Preschoolers will learn that “God loves me and I can trust him.”
The Good Servant
Scripture: 1 Samuel 16:14-23, David Serves Saul
David went to work for King Saul. It wasn't easy; Saul was a difficult and sometimes angry king. God gave David the strength and talent to serve Saul. You can believe God will give you what you need to serve other people.
Objective: Preschoolers will learn that “God helps me help others.”
David and the Giant
Scripture: 1 Samuel 17:25-49, David and Goliath
When everyone else was too afraid, God gave David the courage to go out and face the giant in battle. God gave him the victory. You can believe that God will give you the strength to face your fears and win!
Objective: Preschoolers will learn that “God can help me do hard things.”
The Jealous King
Scripture: 1 Samuel 18:1-16, Saul's Jealousy of David
After David defeated Goliath, the people in Israel loved him. Saul became jealous of David's popularity and tried to hurt him. But God protected David. You can believe that God loves you and is watching over you.
Objective: Preschoolers will learn that “God watches over me.”
