Train, Compete, Reach the Goal
Athletes work hard to become winners. The story of Daniel shows us how to be winners in life: do things God’s way. In Summer Games 4-Week Preschool Ministry Curriculum, kids will learn that “I win when I do things God’s way”.
Summer Games Preschool Ministry Curriculum Lesson Overview:
Memory Verse: “I push myself forward toward the goal to win the prize.” Philippians 3:14a (NIrV)
Lessons:
In Training
Scripture: Daniel 1, Daniel's Training in Babylon
Athletes eat right and exercise. Daniel and his friends took good care of themselves so they could work for the king. We win when we take care of ourselves in order to serve God with all our might.
Objective: Kids will learn: “We win when take care of themselves.”
Gold, Silver, Bronze
Scripture: Daniel 2, Nebuchadnezzar's Dream
Athletes trust in their strength and training to win a medal. Daniel put his trust in God, and was able to help the King. We win when we put our trust in God.
Objective: Kids will learn: “We win when we trust God.”
Judge's Score
Scripture: Daniel 5, The Writing on the Wall
Winning athletes get the highest judge's score. King Belshazzar was not a winner because he did not care about God. We win when we choose to love God with our whole hear, and live our lives for Him.
Objective: Kids will learn: “We win when we love God.”
Commitment = Victory
Scripture: Daniel 6:10-26, Daniel in the Lion's Den
Athletes train and practice in order to win the victory. Daniel trusted God, and God gave Daniel victory in the lion's den. If we trust God, God can help us do great things.
Objective: Kids will learn: “We win when we let God do great things in our life.”
