Candy Cane Christmas Curriculum - Use Candy Canes to Teach Kids the Christmas Story.

Kids will learn the symbolism of candy canes and what those symbols teach us about Christmas.  The candy cane's shape will be a reminder for kids of a shepherd's staff or the letter "J" for Jesus.  The red stripes will remind kids of the tracks the Wise Men left in the sand on their way to see Jesus and of Jesus' sacrifice for us on the cross.

Lessons:

The Shepherd's Crook- Kids will learn that Jesus' love is for everyone from the story of the shepherds in Bethlehem.

The Three Tracks in the Sand- Kids will learn that Jesus is the fulfillment of prophecy from the Magi's journey to see the King of Kings.

The Red Ribbon- Kids will learn that Jesus came to be the final sacrifice for sin.

J is for Jesus.- Kids will learn that the greatest gift they could ever receive is Jesus.
