Daniel And Darius
No matter what our relationship looks like with our earthly father, the Bible is clear that we all have a Father in heaven who is perfect, who loves us, and who can be completely trusted. Daniel shows what it looks like to trust in our heavenly Father and listen to his advice. Darius, on the other hand, shows what happens when we choose to listen to the advice of the world.
D.A.D Overview:
Memory Verse:
“If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.” James 1:5 (NIV)
Lesson:
Scripture: Daniel 6:1-10, Daniel And The King’s Decree
Darius made a decision to sentence an innocent man to death because he listened to worldly wisdom. Daniel chose to risk his own life rather than give up praying to God. His example, and the way God mightily rescued him from the hungry lions, shows us that we can always trust our heavenly Father and we can always call on him for help.
Objectives: Kids will learn that “choosing to follow God’s way is always the wise choice.”
