Valentines for villains?
The last thing Jonah wanted was good things for the city of Nineveh. That’s why he ran the other way when God asked him to visit Nineveh. So when the king and his people repented, it made Jonah angry. God wanted more than to save the city. He wanted Jonah to see that God has grace and love for all people, and we should too. Not just for those we think “deserve” to be loved.
