Learning To Be Thankful

God has given us a lot of things to be thankful for. In this series, little ones will learn about the blessings God has given them and how they can show their gratitude to God.

Thankfulness Preschool Ministry Curriculum Overview:

Lessons

Thank you for making me – God is our creator, and he has a special plan for all of us. That’s a great reason to be thankful, and a great reason to be obedient. When we use the gifts God has given us to honor him - playing games and being a good teammate, encouraging our friends with kind words, etc. - we are giving God thanks. Jeremiah 1, God calls Jeremiah

Objective: Little ones will learn “I can thank God for making me, by using my talents for him.”

Thank you for saving me – God sent his Son, Jesus, to die for our sins. We can thank God for his amazing love and for wanting a relationship with us. Luke 7:36-50, A woman anoints Jesus’ feet.

Objective: Little ones will learn “I can thank God for sending to Jesus to erase all the times I’ve sinned.”

Thank you for blessing me – From friends and family to food, clothes, and toys, all good gifts come from God. We can thank God every day for the blessings he gives us. Psalm 138

Objective: Little ones will learn “Every good thing comes from God and I can tell him thank you every day for everything.”

Thank you for including me – God can use us to share his love with others and show what he has done for us. We can thank God by using our time and gifts to show God’s love to other people. Luke 19:1-10, The Story of Zacchaeus

Objective: Little ones will learn “I can show thanks to God by telling my friends how much God loves them.”
