Giving Praise To God!
Around St. Patrick’s Day, you’ll probably see a lot of four-leaf clovers and hear people talk about the good luck they can bring. But when good things happen should we really be thanking something that grows in our yard? In this lesson, kids will learn that as believers in Christ, we don’t have to trust in good luck. We can trust in God, who is a good and perfect father who loves us.
Lucky? Children's Church Lesson Overview:
Memory Verse:
“Every good and perfect gift is from above” John 1:17a (NIV)
Lesson:
Scripture: John 1:17a, Romans 8:28 (NIV), God Works All Things Together For Good
If we have put our trust in Christ, we don’t have to rely on luck or four leaf clovers to take care of us. We can put our faith in the one who created every four-leaf clover ever made. Whenever something good takes place in our lives, instead of thinking “Wow, I’m so lucky!”, let’s instead give thanks to God. He is the one who has given us everything good.
Objective: Kids will learn that, “God deserves praise for every good thing”.
