The Passover meal was a reminder to the Israelites of how God spared His people and saved them from slavery. God sent a terrible, final plague on the Egyptians to convince Pharaoh to set them free, but He protected His people. In many ways this special meal foreshadowed how God would one day save the whole world, not with the blood of a lamb but the blood of His Son.

Lesson:

Objective: Kids will learn, "The Passover shows us how God saved us from sin."

On a terrible, tragic night in Egypt, God spared the children of Israel from a plague of death and set them free from slavery. The blood of the sacrificed lambs on the door was a preview of how God would one day set the world free from slavery to sin. God sent His Son Jesus to be the final sacrifice for our sins and save us from eternal death.
