Always Say Thank You! This Series Is Perfect for Thanksgiving
In life, we can choose to grumble and be selfish, or we can choose to be grateful. Every day, we should praise God and give Him thanks. Kids will learn “I can say ‘thank you’ every day.”
Thank You Preschool Ministry Curriculum Lesson Overview:
Memory Verse: “Give thanks to the Lord, because he is good.” 1 Chronicles 16:34a (NIrV)
Lessons:
Thank God Every Day
Scripture: Luke 17:11-19, Jesus Heals 10 Sick Men
When Jesus healed 10 sick men, only one came back to thank Him. God gives us so many good things. We should always take time to give Him thanks.
Objective: Preschoolers will remember “when good things happen, I can say ‘thank you God.’”
Don't Complain
Scripture: Exodus 16:1-18, Manna and Quail
God had done a great thing! He had delivered God's people who were trapped by Pharaoh in Egypt. But instead of thanking Him, the people grumbled and complained about not having enough food. We shouldn't grumble and complain about what we don't have, but should thank God for everything we do have.
Objective: Preschoolers will remember “instead of complaining, I can be thankful.”
The Only One
Scripture: Luke 7:36-50, Jesus Anointed
Some people didn't like it when the woman came in and washed Jesus' feet, but she didn't care. She wanted to give Him thanks for all He had done for her. We can say thank you even when others don’t.
Objective: Preschoolers will remember “I can tell God ‘thank you’ even if no one else does.”
Thank God With Worship
Scripture: 2 Samuel 6:12-21, David Dances Before the Lord
When God's special ark came to Jerusalem, David was so thankful, that he danced and sang before God. Some people were embarrassed by how excited David got, but David didn't care; he would thank God with all of his might.
Objective: Preschoolers will remember “I can thank God when I worship and praise Him.”
