Winter Games 4-Week Children's Ministry Curriculum will look at some really bad ideas for new winter sports.  These are the kinds of ideas that, if you saw people actually playing these sports, would make you say, “they probably didn’t think that one through!”  These goofy ideas will also help us look at some people from the Bible who probably should have thought things through a little better as well. By looking at their stories, we can learn what they could have done differently and how that can help us make better, more God-honoring decisions in our own life.

Winter Games Sunday School Lesson Overview:

Memory Verse: “The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.” Proverbs 12:15

No Pads Hockey

Scripture: 1 Kings 22:1-40, Ahab Doesn’t Listen to God

Ice Hockey is a fast-paced, action packed game that requires everyone to wear pads and helmets. Why? Because it’s too dangerous to play without them! If we choose to go our own way instead of following God, we’ll find that it’s like playing hockey without pads. It’s just not going to end well.

Objective: Kids will learn, “God’s way is always the best way.”

    Ticks all the boxes

"I just love your lessons. They are great for a range of ages and speaks to the different learning styles that kids have. There is something for everyone in every lesson. I especially love the synopsis that gets sent to the parents."

    Excellent

"I have only been using the free lessons, but they are great. I modify them to fit the message the lord lays on my heart. I don't really have a budget since we're a small church. So it's really great to get free messages to share with the children."

    JOANN C. (5/5)

    Doing it wrong

"This is a good lesson and I like the way it is explained. I was only slightly disappointed because I was hoping that this would be the lesson that was missing when I purchased the 52 week children's bundle (2022) There were only three Winter Games lessons. If you were using this as a stand alone lesson; then it is good."

    “No Pads Hockey”

"I loved the objective: “God‘s way is always the best way.“ And, the prayer:”… help us to be wise and to listen, and to walk in Your way.“ This principle, I feel, is very very very important to tell the children to always always listen to God. Not only to listen but to do as He says. James 1:22. Amen."

    Carol S. (5/5)

    LOVE The Simplicity

"These programs are so easy to use. I am a CE Director and I can have any volunteer step in and teach, even those with a desire to teach but worry they are not strong enough to do so. So easy to use and the kids love it"
