Competing in the Winter Games requires strength, ability, and a little faith. Daniel displayed these qualities in great measure. In this series, kids will look at the life of Daniel through the lens of training for the Winter Games.

Winter Games Sunday School Lesson Overview:

Memory Verse:

“He sets people free and saves them. He does miraculous signs and wonders. He does them in the heavens and on the earth. He has saved Daniel from the power of the lions.” Daniel 6:27 (NIRV)

Lesson:

Hockey
Scripture: Daniel 1:6-20, Daniel’s Training in Babylon
Hockey is a team sport that requires strength and agility. When Daniel and his friends were taken into captivity, they refused to eat the king’s food because it would make him “unclean.” By eating a better diet, Daniel and his “team” grew stronger and more agile than the rest of the men in the king’s service.
Objective: Kids will learn “I will take care of myself, so that I can serve God better.”

    Huge Hit With Our Kids!

"I recently downloaded the FREE Winter Games Sunday School Lesson from CMD and was really pleased! The lesson was easy to follow, engaging, and kept our kids involved from start to finish. I loved that the activities connected well with the Bible point while still being fun and high-energy. Preparation was simple, the instructions were clear, and it worked great for a mixed group of ages. Leaders appreciated how adaptable it was, and the kids are already asking when we can do something like it again. I’ll definitely be ordering more resources from CMD. Highly recommend to other kids pastors looking for something meaningful and exciting that doesn’t require tons of prep!"

    Just needs some graphics

"Wish there were more graphics for the lessons to use on screen while teaching so I am not just talking at them the whole time, but other than that I like that each lesson has 2 games (1 physical, 1 mental), and a craft to go along with the lesson"
