    Video Games Lesson One Review from a New CMD User

    "The first video games lesson was my initial exposure to Children's Ministry Deals. I had been forwarded a promo or two before but the title of the website made me question their validity. After seeing their Olympic Games curriculum I realized they were not just another website and so I download a lot of samples to get a feel for what their curriculum was like and the quality of their overall vision. I do not give my volunteers anything just from a glance :) The Video Games - Incompatible lesson was well planned and clearly explained. The lesson comes with several options to print such as large group game, skit, small group discussion and parent hand outs. I have seen this system before in the curriculum we currently use but the expense and large drama team needed for our current curriculum are meant for a bigger church. I appreciate that the CMD lessons can be pulled off by just two or three volunteers and the supplies are common. The lesson plan was brightly colored and easy to communicate to my volunteer. My only disappointment was the simplicity of the 'craft' for a group that could span kindergarten to 5th grade. It was a simple "cut pictures out of a magazine" kind of craft and for a theme such as Video Games I thought there were a lot more creative ideas for a craft."
