Whether we're kids or adults, most of the time we are preoccupied with the concerns of this life. But Christ calls us to adjust our focus to the life to come. In this series, kids will take a look at heaven, the soul, and how the choices we make in this life have an impact on the life to come. In The Me I Can't See 4-Week Children’s Ministry Curriculum, kids will learn that God created us to live with him forever.

The Me I Can't See

Scripture: Genesis 1:27, 2:4-9, Creation; Luke 16:19-31, Lazarus & the Rich Man

Humans were created in God's image and the very breathe of God is breathed into us. We were designed to live forever in his presence. Even after our bodies die, our souls live on in eternity. 

Objective: Kids will learn that God created us and designed us to live with him forever.

Me And Eternity

Scripture: John 14:1-3, Jesus Prepares a Place; John 3:16, For God So Loved

The concept of eternity can be overwhelming for kids and adults. But Jesus has assured us that – even though eternity may be hard to grasp - everything that God gives us is good. . . . including a life with Him that will never end. To receive this good gift, all we have to do is put our faith in Jesus.

Objective: Kids will learn that eternity with God will be better than anything we can imagine.

It's He Not Me

Scripture: Matthew 6:25-34, Seek First; Mark 8:34-38, Carry Your Cross

Most of the time we are focused on what we can get in this life: more toys, avoiding homework, getting more money, finding time to play games. But Jesus tells us to focus on eternity.  Jesus knows our time on earth in our physical bodies is very short, but our souls will exist forever after this life.  We can prepare our souls for eternity with the choices we make in this life.  We make good choices for eternity when we put Jesus first.

Objective: Kids will learn that God wants us to put him and his kingdom first.

Me Becomes We

Scripture: Matthew 25:31-46, Sheep and Goats; Matthew 28:16-20, Great Commission

The things we do in this life affect what happens after this. To spend eternity with God, we must put our faith in Jesus, serve him, and serve others. The best thing that we can do is help others know Jesus, so that they can spend eternity with Him too.   

Objective: Kids will learn that we can help other souls to know God.
