Easter Sunday School Lesson - Jesus Is Greater Than Candy

Jesus Is Greater Than Candy Easter Sunday School Lesson

In this Sunday School Lesson kids will learn that the best thing about Easter is not the sweet candy in their baskets, but the sweet news that candy can remind us of. It reminds us that Easter is a SWEET day because Jesus rose from the dead anyone who believes in him and accepts him as their Lord and Savior can be saved and spend forever with God.

The resurrection of Jesus is so very important to every one of us, even though we are living two thousand years after it happened. There is a reason we still celebrate Easter, and that is because it is the greatest thing that ever happened for the entire world.

Easter Sunday School Lesson - The Easter Story

Everyone knows that Easter time brings jelly beans and chocolate bunnies. But there’s more to it than that, right?

In this Easter Sunday School Lesson, kids will learn what Easter is really all about with this stand-alone Easter Children's Church Lesson. Easter is way more important than any candy, bunnies, or eggs. Easter is about Jesus' victory over death, and his return from the grave. He came back to life, and showed us that in Him, we too have the power over death.

Easter Sunday School Lesson - Rotten Eggs

Easter eggs are a special treat this time of year. The eggs themselves don’t taste any different, but the dyed shells make them more fun to look at and to eat.  Now, what if you decided to just save an Easter egg on a shelf and never eat it?  You might enjoy looking at it for a day or two, but pretty soon something unpleasant would happen.  That beautiful egg would start to stink.  Easter eggs that don’t get eaten turn rotten! That’s a great reminder for us that Jesus has given us a beautiful gift of salvation.  We’re meant to accept that gift, not just talk about how nice it is, but never use it.
Explaining the whys and hows of the Easter story: Why did Jesus have to die for me? Did Jesus really rise from the dead? Why did Jesus rise from the dead? How can I live with him forever in heaven? This Easter Children's Church Lesson will show kids why Easter still matters today while answering all those questions everyone seems to have. It does not make sense that somebody would rise from the dead, but it happened.

At Easter, we celebrate the fact that Jesus died for our sins and rose to life again, defeating death so that we could live forever with him. Even though Jesus told His disciples this would happen, Thomas would not believe it until he saw Jesus himself. Jesus did appear to Thomas, and when He did, He said that those who believe that Jesus is alive, even without seeing Him with their eyes, will be blessed.
Kids will discuss why they can believe that Jesus is alive, even without having seen Him.

Each week kids will learn that, "Jesus Is King, Jesus Knows Me, Jesus Forgives Me, and that Jesus Is Alive!"

The story of Jesus' death and resurrection is the ultimate escape story. If we follow the way Jesus has made for us, we can escape to a new life.

In Escape the Tomb 4-Week Children's Ministry Curriculum, kids will learn how Jesus made a way for us to escape the price of sin.

Palm Sunday Kids Church Lessons

Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson - iWitness News

Kids will take a closer look at what happened on Palm Sunday 2,000 years ago and be encouraged to invite their friends back next week for Easter. If cameras and microphones were invented back then, and news stations were around, the story of Jesus entering Jerusalem would be the absolute biggest news story ever.

Even though they did not have cameras, the Bible is an excellent source to figure out what happened on that day, and why it is still important today. This Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson is a great resource to use in your Children's Ministry.

Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson - Donkey

Jesus did not ride into Jerusalem on a horse like a king, but on a donkey like a humble servant. This lesson will look at Palm Sunday through the eyes of that colt who God chose for a very special purpose.

Most kids do not understand why Jesus rode into Jerusalem on a donkey. But with this Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson, they will learn why. This is perfect to use for a Palm Sunday Service to get the kids ready for Easter! Great for all Children's Ministries, Sunday Schools, and Kid Churches.

Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson - Hosanna

The people in Jerusalem welcomed Jesus a week before they asked for him to be crucified.  This Palm Sunday lesson teaches kids that we need to welcome Him into our hearts to stay every single day. In the book of Matthew we see the people of Jerusalem cheering Jesus on as he enters the city. They are treating him like he is the savior of the world... which he is. With this Palm Sunday Children's Church Lesson, kids will see why Jesus was praised back then, and why we should continue to praise him now.
